Mainmark Appoints Ian Thornhill as UK General Manager

With more than 15 years’ experience across rail, highways and infrastructure services, Ian brings a strong combination of technical expertise, operational leadership and sector insight to the role.

A geologist by background, Ian has held senior roles with AECOM and SIS Group, where he has led business growth, strengthened delivery capability and supported regional expansion. His experience in scaling operations and building high-performing teams will be valuable as Mainmark continues to expand its presence across the UK and European markets.

Ian’s appointment supports Mainmark UK’s continued evolution towards a full lifecycle approach to asset management, from monitoring and assessment through to ground improvement, repair and long-term asset preservation.
